mein neuer TEDx Vortrag "Digital Revolution - The Revenge of the Nerds" ist soeben auf Youtube online gegangen. Ich würde mich sehr freuen, euch als Publikum zu haben: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lF07jtj0O34
Um was es geht?
From ridiculed outsiders nerds became the creators of the future. The future is not even created anymore, it’s programmed. We make algorithms and then the algorithms make us. With great power comes great fun? Not really. We have not been prepared for that responsibility. We just wanted to play. On the other hand fairness is overrated: Darknet, Social Media, A.I. and what not - blaming digitalisation for society shortcomings might be good for your self-esteem. If you have a scapegoat you don’t need to think about yourself. Maybe the three thought experiments in this talk help to bridge the gap between anxiety and responsibility. These thought experiments don’t predict the future, but they offer new hopeful perspectives.
Christoph considers himself a nerd. As a public speaker he focusses on overcoming digital anxiety in society and achieving responsibility for IT nerds. Christoph studied rocket and computer science, is a startup founder, Silicon Valley entrepreneur, university lecturer and a real cyborg. As a business angel he invests in A.I., blockchain and co-living from Brasil to Singapore. He is known to the public as a TV expert, e.g. on CNBC, Sat1 or N-TV. During his inspiring talk with surprising anecdotes and humor he’s sharing thought experiments on the chances of the current transformation with the audience before reflecting on whether the Digital Revolution really should be called a revolution.
Liebe Grüße, Christoph
